Dry, dehydrated skin anyone?
Want Hydrated, supple skin with no heaviness? There is hope!
Tips to make you glow like a disco ball and have bounce like a trampoline:
🌵Use an Oil based cleanser, FOAM IS NOT YOUR FRIEND! Tight and squeaky is not the clean we are going for! Oil based or a creamy milk type cleanser is what you need. Don't worry you will still be clean and won't have an acne break out. Non- comedogenic means it won't clog pores. Look for that on everything.
💦Use layers of moisturizer, thinnest to thickest. Hydrating toner, Hydrating serum, Hydrating moisturizer and an even heavier Hydrating nighttime cream.
+Try a nightime facial oil. Squalene is a great oil that won't clog your pores. It has a zero on the pore clogging scale! Use this at night or day time after your moisturizer. There are lots of oils to choose from!
💧Hyaluronic Acid! This is not an exfoliating type of acid. It actually hold 1,000 times it weight in water... you need that! Apply a good Hyaluronic Acid serum when skin is damp to get best absorption, then apply moisturizer to lock it all in.
WHAT TO AVOID:
🚫No hot water! 5-10 minutes is plenty.
🚫No products with perfumes and fragrances!
🚫Non-irritating fabrics- use silk pillowcase and wash with allergen free detergents.
👎🏼Ingredients to AVOID:
〰️Alcohol- products with alcohol in them are very drying, and if your drinking alcohol or caffeine you may want to limit those also!
〰️AHA's- Be careful Alpha Hydroxy Acids or even avoid until get skin back into shape and is hydrated! Use only 1-2 times a week and use LOW percentages. Mandelic acid products are actually good for sensitive and dry skin. Ask me how to get a perfect face wash with this in it!
〰️Did I say no Fragrances loud enough???-repeating for importance!
〰️Retinoids- decrease the amount and percentage strength used of this one, and double up on moisturizer. Never use on wet skin-increases irritating effects. Try Bakuchiol instead!
REMEMBER! Consult a dermatologist if dry skin persists, you could have an underlying medical or skin condition, allergy, or even a medication causing these symptoms.
